CPV/CCV/Giardia/CDV Ag Combo – 4-in-1 Dog Rapid Test
Our most comprehensive home rapid test for dogs: one kit checks for four pathogens — parvovirus (CPV), canine coronavirus (CCV), the Giardia parasite and distemper (CDV). If your dog has diarrhoea, vomiting, lethargy or respiratory signs, this 4-in-1 test gives you an answer on all four of the most common serious dog diseases at once — at home, in a few minutes.
Accuracy – manufacturer validation
Each of the four components was validated separately against PCR as the reference method:

When is the test recommended?
- Acute diarrhoea and/or vomiting when the cause is unclear
- Respiratory signs (runny nose, cough, eye discharge) alongside diarrhoea
- When a puppy arrives, as complete screening for the four most common pathogens
- When taking in a dog with an unknown history or missing/incomplete vaccinations
- Chronic, recurring diarrhoea — the Giardia component also detects a hidden parasite
- After kennels, dog school or boarding, when the risk of infection is higher
- A cost-effective alternative to four separate tests
How does it work? Three steps
- 1
Collect the sample with the swab provided: stool or a rectal sample for CPV/CCV/Giardia, eye discharge or saliva for distemper (CDV).
- 2
Swirl the swab in the buffer solution as described in the manufacturer's instructions so the sample dissolves.
- 3
Drop the prepared sample onto the cassette and read all four results (CPV, CCV, Giardia, CDV) after the time stated in the instructions.
Reading the result

Positive
CPV, CCV, Giardia and/or CDV positive. See a vet and tell them which component was positive — parvovirus and distemper both need immediate care.

Negative
All four pathogens negative. If symptoms do not go away, see a vet. Giardia cysts are shed intermittently — it is worth repeating the test within a few days.

Invalid
No control line, so the result cannot be interpreted. Repeat the test with a new cassette.
Who is it especially for?
- Unclear symptoms: if there are digestive and respiratory complaints at the same time, this test checks all four of the most common causes.
- Puppy owners: puppies are most at risk — parvo, coronavirus, Giardia and distemper all typically affect young dogs.
- Breeders: for a complete health check of a litter, ruling out four diseases with a single test.
- Shelters: the most comprehensive intake screening for unvaccinated dogs with an unknown history.
When should you test again?
- Giardia component: cysts are shed intermittently — after a negative result, repeat within a few days
- Suspected distemper: virus shedding fluctuates, so repeat if symptoms persist
- After treatment, a follow-up test to confirm recovery
- Puppies: screen on arrival and again a few weeks later
Frequently asked questions
How accurate is this test?
Agreement with PCR is between 96.67% and 98.33%, depending on the component. The detailed table is above; the source is the manufacturer's instructions for use.
What sample do I need?
Fresh stool or a rectal swab for parvovirus, coronavirus and Giardia; eye discharge or saliva for distemper.
How long until I get the result?
Read the result after the time given in the manufacturer's instructions, typically within a few minutes. The instructions supplied with your batch always apply.
At what age can it be used?
At any age, but puppies are the most vulnerable to all four pathogens.
Can it be used on cats?
No, this rapid test is for dogs only. Testing cats for parvovirus infection needs a separate FPV test.
Does it replace a veterinary examination?
No. A rapid test is a pre-screening tool that gives a quick indication, but a diagnosis is always made by a vet.
