How it works

Step 1: Taking the sample

Stool tests (CPV, CPV/CDV, CPV/CCV/Giardia, CPV/CCV/Giardia/CDV, Giardia, FPV, FIPV Ag):

Collect a pea-sized fresh stool sample with the sampling swab provided. The sample should not be older than 24 hours.

Blood tests (FIV/FeLV, FIPV Ab, heartworm):

A single drop of blood is enough. No lancet is included with our tests – blood sampling is best left to your vet.

Lyme test:

The sample is the tick removed from your pet.

Step 2: Preparing the sample

Mix the sample (stool or blood) with the buffer solution provided – the buffer turns the sample into a form the test can process. Shake the vial for 10 seconds.

For the Lyme test, follow the instructions for use supplied with the test.

Step 3: Running the test

Add the number of drops stated in the instructions for use (usually 3) from the prepared sample to the well marked “S” (sample) on the test cassette.

Do not touch the surface of the test strip.

Step 4: Reading the result

Read the result after 5–10 minutes (use a timer!).

Do not read the result before 5 minutes, and ignore any change after 15 minutes – the result is then invalid.

Step 5: Interpreting the result

✓✓ TWO LINES
(T + C line) = POSITIVE

The pathogen tested for was detected. Contact your vet!

✓ ONE LINE
(C line only) = NEGATIVE

The pathogen tested for was not detected. If the symptoms persist, consult
your vet.

✗ NO LINE (not even the C line is visible) = INVALID

The test did not work properly. Repeat it with a new cassette.

⚠ A FAINT LINE at T = STILL POSITIVE!

Any line at the T (test line) position, however faint, means a positive
result. Don't be misled by how faint it is – the amount of virus/parasite can vary.
